Tenerife – La Gomera

UNESCO Biosphere Reserve: Fuerteventura – Lanzarote

The neighbouring islands of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura are just 14km apart, yet dramatically different from each other. Granada – Nerja

Getting around Spain

On the mainland, rail travel is the most efficient way to travel between major cities thanks to its high-speed network. For smaller towns and shorter distances its sometimes easier to travel by car, and car hire and taxis are very accessible. In the Canary Islands, frequent ferry services and internal flights with Binter Canarias connect the islands with ease. A reliable ferry service also operates between the Balearic Islands.

 

Best time to visit Spain

For the warmest weather the best time to visit Spain is between April and October. Further south in the Atlantic the Canary Islands are warm all year round and serve as fantastic destinations for winter sun holidays. For non-family holidays the best time to visit Spain is the months of April, May, June, September and October to avoid the soaring prices, crowds and scorching heat that arrives in July and August.
