Luxury Pollina Holidays
Explore Pollina
Pollina is a small village located on Sicily's north coast, about 20km to the east of Cefalu. Pollina is set within the Madione National Park, known for a profusion of ash forests. The original village was founded in low lying hills, but in the early 1990's the settlement was rebuilt closer to the coast. The Church of Giovanni and Paolo includes some impressive works of art dating back to the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries and The Tower of Maurolico, built in the 16th century, was used as an astronomical observatory. From a Spanish watchtower built in 1597 it's possible to enjoy views of Cefalu, Capo d'Orlando and the Aeolian Islands.
