Anse Chastanet, Soufriere

In the most beautiful location the Anse Chastanet resort boasts iconic views of the Piton Mountains whilst its two crystal-clear bays are part of a designated marine reserve protecting the off-shore coral reef. With his passion for nature, owner Nick Troubetzkoy has created an enchanting resort in complete harmony with its tropical surroundings on a 600-acre estate bordering two magnificent soft sand beaches a 15 minute drive from Soufriere.

Uniquely designed rooms are dotted on the lush hillside or in the tropical gardens at beach level and all are furnished using locally sourced materials, feature wraparound balconies and, as no TVs in the rooms, ensures a peaceful sanctuary. Standard rooms may be located on the hillside (involving numerous steps) or at beach level, and premium hillside view rooms offer the very best picture postcard views of the Pitons.

Features

There is a tennis court, yoga and complimentary use of non-motorised watersports for those actively inclined, plus an on-site PADI dive centre; the pristine off-shore coral reef is wonderful for snorkelling and scuba diving. In addition there's bird watching, mountain biking, walking and hiking trails in the Anse Mamin valley, or for relaxing, the Kai Belté Spa tempts with indulgent treatments. Children (6-9 years) are welcome July to September.

Enjoy an a la carte breakfast and a Caribbean menu for dinner at the Treehouse, for lunch opt for the Trou Au Diable beach restaurant, whilst the Apsara offers a fusion of East Indian and Caribbean cuisine and at Emeralds a selection of delicious vegetarian dishes created from the estate's organic farm produce.
