Luxe lodges are larger and enjoy outside spaces such as large verandahs. The complimentary, freshly made estate chocolate treats and chilled sparkling wine, are almost impossible to resist. And if you can't fall asleep to the sound of tree frogs then earplugs are available. Bathroom facilities include exclusive toiletries and superb rainforest showers.

The restaurant a partly open-sided pavilion - has a well-deserved reputation for serving some of the island's best food. Chocolate dishes arrive in both sweet and savoury preparations. Beyond the dining tables, the hotel spa also uses homegrown cocoa in its massage treatments.

If you are able to tear yourself away from the quite magnificent Piton views, not to mention the idyllic infinity pool, there is a complimentary beach shuttle to deliver you to Malgretoute Beach, just ten minutes away.
